A Great Start!

All the children have settled back to school really well and have been working hard and getting used to the new routines.

This week in Literacy we have been looking at a book called 'The Shopping Basket. We have been ordering the story, acting it out and thinking about the characters. We reminded ourselves that we need to use a full stop, capital letter and finger spaces in a sentence. We are learning about using connecting words, such as 'and' and 'because' to make our sentences longer.

In Numeracy we have been learning how to use a 100 square to add and take away. Our Numeracy target this term is 'To be able to add and subtract to 10'

Please come along to our class talk on Thursday at 8.30am. This will be a chance to find out more about the 'wonderful world!' of Year 2 and how you can support your child during this important year.

Have a nice weekend, see you all Monday.
