We had great fun this week, exploring everything 'Sciencey!'
On Monday morning Mr. Merchant told us about the Athletics competition which him and Mr Nicholson were entering. We had to think about who would
do better at the high jump. Some of us thought that Mr Nicholson would do better because he was 
taller. This led us to think about our first experiment of the week - Do taller people jump higher? Please take a look at the powerpoint below to find out the result!
Our second experiment of the week was also about height but this time we had to think about whether taller people had bigger feet. After making some predictions, thinking about how we could find out and recording our results we discovered that taller people do not always have bigger feet!
We are all looking forward to Multi-cultural week next week. Year 2 will be learning all about the continent of Asia. A reminder about the Multi-cultural food evening on Thursday and our whole school carnival on Friday. Hope to see you all there. Another exciting week for us all!
