Last day in 2M and Summer party!

Maths Challenge Day

2M have had a very busy week. We released our butterflies into the nature area and although we were sad to see them go we are sure they will be safe and happy.

For Maths Challenge day we enjoyed taking part in some shape and number challenges. Please see the photos above to see the fun we got up to!

We are getting ready for our last week in Year 2!

Well done Year 2 - you have ALL worked really hard this year and we are all very proud of you.

In year two we went into the feild. And let butterflies fly away to there new homes and the hole class flyed like nice colourful butterflies aswell.

Also in year two we read the caterpillar book. And the hole class acted it out also we made it in our own words in our books.

On Monday the 5th of July we all hade sports day we done all sorts of things. And at the end of sports day we all had ice lollys and we done the fastest boy and the fastest girls. The fastest boy was musa and the fastest girl was carmarll and the hole of year two injoyed it so so so much and they cant wait to do it next year .

Icing Cakes

In year 2 this week we were icing cakes, first we washed our hands, next we got all of the ingredients, then we got the equipment, after we put the sugar in the bowl, then we put water in the bowl, next we mixed it together, after that we spooned the icing on the cakes we had already made, finally we put sprinkle's on the iced cakes.

Drawing Nature pictures,Our trip to the sealife centre

This week in year 2 we have been drawing Nature pictures in Art. We went to the Nature Garden and we all picked up a piece of Nature so we could draw it. We had to put lots of detail into our pictures. We had to take are our time drawing our picture so when we finished they would look very wonderful.

Last week year 2 went on school trip to the sea life centre. The teachers that came with us were Mrs Sheikh, Mrs Seth, Mr Merchant and Ms Porter.

We saw lots of sharks and they had sharp teeth and we were all a bit scared.We also saw some turtles and they were very cute. We all got to touch the shell of turtle and felt quite wrinkly and bumpy. We all liked looking at the turtles. Next we saw seahorses, They were really small and nice. Some of them were red some were a crystal white sort of colour.
